All Female Colorado 38's

Girls Program
The 38s are thrilled to announce the second year of their girls' program starting this spring!
The Colorado 14ers are proud to continue offering an exciting, high-level spring training opportunity! In collaboration with the Colorado 38s and the Littleton Hawks, we are returning with our competitive spring hockey program tailored for female athletes. The Colorado 38s girls’ program is designed for dedicated and competitive players at the 10U, 12U, and 14U levels.
Participants will have the chance to train both on and off the ice with their teams throughout April and May, culminating in an out-of-state tournament to close out the season. The Colorado 38s’ mission is to provide a premier spring hockey experience in a neutral, pressure-free environment. Our program fosters a hardworking, rewarding culture that supports athletes' growth not only as hockey players but also as individuals beyond the rink.

Dana Valletti
A native of Peabody, Massachusetts, began her hockey journey playing on boys' teams before advancing to select hockey with the East Coast Wizards. She later excelled in four years of girls' varsity ice hockey at Masconomet High School, where she served as a two-year captain. Dana continued her passion for the sport at the University of New Hampshire, playing four years of Club Hockey and once again stepping into a leadership role as a two-year captain.
Off the ice, Dana works in marketing within the food and beverage industry. In her free time, she enjoys exploring various hobbies and cherishes time with her rescue pitbull, Daisy.
Erika von den Benken
A devoted hockey coach from Boston, MA, has made the sport a cornerstone of her life. Growing up, she played both boys' and girls' hockey before focusing solely on girls’ hockey in high school. Her playing career extended through college, and after graduating, she seamlessly transitioned into coaching to remain connected to the sport and the community that shaped her.
In Boston, Erika coached a wide range of age groups, from U10 to U18, with a particular emphasis on U12 and U18 teams. She also led the Girls Varsity hockey program at Boston Latin Academy. In 2024, she brought her coaching talents to Colorado, joining the CO 14ers program to continue her work with young athletes.
Renowned for her leadership and commitment to player growth, Erika emphasizes the values of hard work, teamwork, and a genuine love for hockey in her coaching. Her philosophy is rooted in her deep passion for the game and her desire to inspire and empower the next generation of players, helping them thrive both on and off the ice.
Brian McConnell
Brian McConnell was raised in Colorado Springs were he grew up playing youth hockey at the AAA level. Brian continued his career playing Junior A Hockey after high school, before knee injuries ended his career. Brian is the current Head Coach of the 14ers 10U Team and brings 10+ years of coaching experience and is a Level 4 USA Hockey. Fun fact, he is the grandson of the late Badger Bob Johnson.
Sasha Maslowski
Our current Colorado 14ers 16AA Head Coach, Sasha, grew up playing AA and AAA hockey across Colorado and Dallas before finishing her playing career at CU Boulder. Following her time on the ice, she earned her CF-L2 certification as a trainer and began coaching hockey at the 10U and high school levels. Sasha brings a competitive edge and tenacity to her coaching, and we’re thrilled to have her leading the way this spring!
Maura McKeown
A former player with a rich hockey background, Maura’s journey began at just 4 years old with the San Jose Junior Sharks, where she played through the 8U to 14U AAA levels. Her commitment and skill earned her a spot at Gilmour Academy, where she competed in the 19AAA and Prep leagues, helping her team secure top finishes including 5th place at Nationals. She continued her career with D3 hockey at Oswego State before transferring to Arizona State University to focus on academics and nutrition, all while joining the lacrosse team.
